Record Watch Company is a Swiss watch manufacturer that was founded in 1903 by a group of watchmakers in the city of Tramelan, Switzerland. The company initially produced pocket watches, but later expanded into wristwatches. In the 1920s, Record Watch Company became known for its precision timekeeping and was awarded several certificates from observatories for its accuracy. The brand also began producing watches with complications such as chronographs and moon phase indicators. During World War II, the company produced watches for the British military and gained a reputation for their durability and reliability. After the war, Record Watch Company continued to produce high-quality timepieces for both men and women. In the 1960s, Record Watch Company was acquired by Longines, another well-known Swiss watchmaker. The brand continued to operate under the Record name and produced watches with the same high-quality standards as before.
