Doxa is a Swiss watch brand that was founded in 1889 in the town of Le Locle, Switzerland. The company was originally known as Georges Ducommun, Doxa and was founded by Georges Ducommun, who had a passion for watchmaking and a desire to create high-quality timepieces.

In the early years, Doxa produced a range of pocket watches and wristwatches, and the company quickly gained a reputation for its innovative designs and precise movements. In the 1920s, Doxa introduced the first wristwatch with an alarm function, which was a groundbreaking innovation at the time.

During the 1960s, Doxa became known for its dive watches, which were designed for professional divers and became popular among the diving community. The most famous of these dive watches is the Doxa Sub, which was first introduced in 1967 and featured a distinctive orange dial that was highly visible underwater.

In the following years, Doxa continued to innovate with new dive watch designs, including the Doxa Sub 300T Conquistador, which was introduced in 1971 and was one of the first dive watches to feature a helium release valve.

Today, Doxa continues to produce a range of high-quality timepieces, including dive watches, dress watches, and chronographs, and the brand remains popular among watch enthusiasts around the world.
