Favre Leuba Calendar Automatic Cal. FL 442
Favre Leuba is a Swiss watch brand with a rich history that dates back to 1737, when Abraham Favre established a watchmaking workshop in Le Locle, Switzerland. In 1815, Abraham Favre's grandson, Henri-Auguste Favre, joined forces with Auguste Leuba to create Favre Leuba & Co. Throughout the 19th century, Favre Leuba & Co. became known for producing high-quality timepieces and innovative designs. The brand was among the first to use synthetic rubies in its movements, and its watches were highly regarded for their accuracy and reliability. In the early 20th century, Favre Leuba continued to innovate, introducing new designs and complications such as chronographs, moon phase indicators, and world time displays. In the 1950s and 1960s, the brand became known for its robust and durable diving watches, including the Bathy and the Deep Blue.
