      Zaria watches were produced by the Penza Watch Factory, which was established in Penza, Russia, in 1930. The factory initially focused on producing pocket watches, table clocks, and other timekeeping devices. In 1941, during World War II, the factory was temporarily relocated to Zlatoust due to the threat of German invasion. It was during this time that the name "Zaria" was adopted for the watches produced by the factory.
