Junghans is a German watch brand that has been in existence since 1861. It was founded by Erhard Junghans and his brother-in-law, Jakob Zeller-Tobler, in the town of Schramberg in the Black Forest region of Germany. Initially, the company produced clock parts, but in 1866, they began producing complete clocks. Over time, Junghans expanded its product range to include wristwatches, and by the early 20th century, it had become one of the largest watch manufacturers in the world. During World War II, the company's factories were heavily damaged, but it was able to rebuild and continue its operations. In the post-war period, Junghans focused on producing high-quality quartz watches, which were becoming increasingly popular. In 1985, the company merged with another German watchmaker, Max Bill, and the Max Bill line of watches became a significant part of Junghans' product range. Today, Junghans is known for its innovative designs and high-quality craftsmanship. The company continues to produce a wide range of watches, from classic and elegant models to contemporary and sporty styles. Junghans watches are sold around the world and are highly respected by watch enthusiasts and collectors.
