Omega Seamaster 120, Ref. 135.027, Cal. 601, Men’s Diving Vintage Watch, 1970
The original Omega 1069 bracelet with 524 end-links completes this Seamaster 120 watch from 1970, reference 135.027. Its compact 36 mm steel case frames a matte black dial, aged tritium and a black rotating minute bezel beneath domed plexiglass. An Omega-signed push-pull crown and manual-wind caliber 601 preserve the watch's straightforward skin-diver format.
Black dial, tritium and timing bezel
The matte black dial has a full minute track and elongated tritium plots with evenly aged, warm patina. Applied batons at the quarters add depth, and the Seamaster 120 script sits above 6. The dark dial gives the light markings and hands a strong contrast.
Slim baton hour and minute hands carry tritium infill. The white central seconds hand has a luminous tip and sweeps over the deep chapter ring. A luminous pip at the bezel's 12 o'clock index aligns with the dial.
The black aluminium count-up bezel is laid out for 60-minute timing. Engraved numerals at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 sit between precise hash marks. Its rotating scale reflects the watch's original diving purpose without adding complexity to the dial.
Skin-diver case and the original 1069 bracelet
The steel case combines brushed upper surfaces with polished flanks and slender straight lugs. At 36 mm across with a 19 mm lug width, it offers the compact proportions associated with the skin-diver format. Domed plexiglass follows the head's profile and adds visible distortion near the edges.
The screw-back is engraved “Ω Seamaster 120 Waterproof” and carries a hippocampus. An Omega-signed push-pull crown sits at 3, with a low profile and ample grip for daily winding and time setting.
The original steel bracelet is Omega reference 1069, with 524 end-links and an Omega-signed clasp. Its articulated multi-link construction drapes smoothly around the wrist and keeps the head and bracelet visually consistent.
Hand-wound Omega caliber 601
This manual-wind watch uses in-house Swiss caliber 601, from Omega's 30 mm family. Its nominal frequency is approximately 19,800 vibrations per hour, or 2.75 Hz. The movement retains its clean, correct appearance, copper-coloured bridges, fine finishing and characteristic architecture.
The Seamaster 120 was conceived as a lighter companion to Omega's professional diving watches. At the turn of the 1970s, its rotating bezel and slim case brought the essential timing layout into a smaller wristwatch. This example retains that construction together with its correct period bezel and original bracelet.
The watch is used and in excellent vintage condition, with a sharp case and evenly aged tritium. Its signed crown, Omega 1069 bracelet, 524 end-links and caliber 601 are original to the watch. It has been fully serviced and is fully operational, currently running properly. It comes with a 12-month warranty and secure worldwide shipping from our workshop.
