Omega Seamaster Cosmic, Ref. 135.016, Cal. 601, Men’s Watch
A matte black crosshair dial and an oval-tonneau monocoque case distinguish this Omega Seamaster Cosmic watch from 1968, reference 135.016. The men's dress watch uses hand-wound caliber 601 in a 34 mm steel head with a brushed top and polished bevels. Applied batons with luminous dots, a domed crystal and the original signed crown accompany a brown stitched leather strap.
Black crosshair and luminous baton hands
The matte black dial has a crisp crosshair, applied baton markers with discreet luminous dots and a printed minute track. The Omega logo is printed at 12, with Seamaster Cosmic at 6.
Faceted baton hour and minute hands carry luminous inlays. Their polished surfaces match the indices, while a slim central seconds hand completes the display without crowding the graphic dial.
Front-loading monocoque construction
The stainless steel case has one-piece, front-loading construction and an oval-tonneau silhouette. Its brushed upper surface and polished bevels retain sharp edges around the 34 mm head. A domed crystal continues the curved profile.
The original Omega-signed crown sits at 3 and provides a positive grip for daily winding and setting. Its proportions follow the clean case lines. The brown leather strap has stitching and complements the black dial and steel head.
Omega 601 and Cosmic design
The manual-wind watch uses Swiss-made Omega 601 from the 600 series. It powers the main time indications and central seconds. The watch is fully serviced and currently running strongly.
The Cosmic line brought monocoque construction and crisp graphic dials into the Seamaster range of watches from the late 1960s. Reference 135.016 expresses that design through its crosshair, oval-tonneau outline and brushed-and-polished steel surface.
The watch is used and in excellent vintage condition, with a well-preserved original dial, sharp case edges and original signed crown. Its original watch head components remain with the fitted brown leather strap. It is fully serviced and fully operational, with a 12-month warranty. Worldwide shipping is available.
