Omega Seamaster, Ref. 165.002, Cal. 552, Men’s Vintage Watch

Sale price€660,00

Gold-tone furniture adds warmth to the pale dial of this Omega Seamaster watch from 1965, reference 165.002. The 35 mm steel case has a polished bezel, a brushed mid-case and sharp straight lugs, spanning 41 mm overall. Original baton hands carry onyx inlays, while automatic caliber 552 provides a no-date display. A black replacement leather strap keeps the head visually prominent.

Sunburst dial and gold-tone hands

The white-silver dial has a sunburst finish that shifts tone from its centre. Applied gold-tone baton markers carry dark centre lines. An applied Omega logo and Automatic text sit at 12, with the Seamaster signature in the lower half.

The original gold-tone baton hour and minute hands have onyx inlays and remain in excellent condition. Their dark centres echo the lines in the markers. A thin central seconds hand moves smoothly across the face, and the absence of a date aperture leaves the marker arrangement uninterrupted.

Steel case with a snap-on hippocampus back

The steel case combines a polished bezel with a brushed mid-case. Its straight lugs remain sharp, and the geometry does not show excessive polishing. A 35 mm diameter and 41 mm lug-to-lug span give the watch compact but clearly defined proportions.

The snap-on caseback carries an engraved hippocampus. The original Omega-signed crown provides clean manual winding and time setting. A smooth-grain black aftermarket leather strap, with a classic pin buckle, fits the 18 mm lugs.

No-date automatic caliber 552

This automatic watch uses Swiss Omega caliber 552, with 24 jewels and a nominal beat rate of 19,800 vibrations per hour. Its no-date configuration matches the dial's simple hours, minutes and central seconds layout. The watch has been fully serviced and is fully operational.

The Seamaster's 1960s dress watches combine practical mechanical construction with restrained dial furniture. In this example, gold-tone markers and hands soften the steel head, while the black strap sets a darker border around the pale dial.

This used watch is in excellent working condition. Its original dial, hands, case, signed crown and caseback are retained; the leather strap is an aftermarket replacement. It comes with a 12-month warranty, and worldwide shipping is available.
