Omega Seamaster, Ref. 166.0216, Cal. 1022, Men’s Automatic Vintage Watch

Sale price€860,00

The original integrated steel bracelet is central to the appearance of this Omega Seamaster watch from 1972, reference 166.0216. It continues the lines of the TV-shaped tonneau case, which measures 35 mm across and 40 mm from lug to lug. A silver sunburst dial, framed day-date display and original baton hands complete the watch, powered by automatic caliber 1022.

Silver sunburst dial and framed calendar

The silver sunburst dial is well preserved, with rectangular applied markers carrying black centre stripes. A double day-date aperture at 3 sits within a polished frame. The original Seamaster and Automatic printing remains crisp, and the dial is untouched.

The original baton hour and minute hands have black inserts that repeat the markers' dark centres. The long central seconds hand reaches the minute track. Luminous plots and the hand lume have aged into patina, giving the display a visible indication of its age without obscuring its clear layout.

Case geometry and the original integrated bracelet

The TV-shaped steel case has a brushed top and polished facets, with sharp edges and minimal wear. Its retained geometry suggests that it has not been overpolished. The flat original crystal is clean, with no major scratches.

The original integrated steel bracelet has tight links and minimal stretch. Its secure locking clasp and continuous fit to the head preserve the design as a complete assembly. At 35 mm across and 40 mm overall, the case remains compact while the bracelet carries its shape along the wrist.

An original Omega-signed crown provides smooth manual winding and quick-set date adjustment. Together with the original case, crystal and bracelet, it contributes to the watch's preserved configuration.

Day-date caliber 1022

The automatic watch uses Swiss Omega caliber 1022, with 23 jewels and a nominal frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Quick-set day and date functions make the calendar convenient to adjust, and hacking seconds supports time setting. Manual winding is also available through the crown.

The 1000-series movements reflect Omega's pursuit of thinner automatic construction. In this 1970s Seamaster, that movement sits within a dress watch whose integrated bracelet and angular head are as important to its appearance as the restrained dial.

The watch is used and in excellent vintage condition. Its dial, hands, case, crystal, signed crown and integrated bracelet are original. It has been fully serviced, is fully operational and comes with a 12-month warranty. Worldwide shipping is available with secure packaging.
