Darwil Diver, Ref. 8522, Cal. 7012, Women’s Manual Wind, 1971

Darwil’s Diver Ref. 8522 brings a rotating black bezel and blue dial to a compact women’s watch from 1971. The 30 mm case surrounds a date window and small-seconds register, with Arabic numerals at 12, 9 and 6. Cal. 7012 provides manual winding, and a new blue crocodile-textured leather strap continues the dial’s color.

Blue Dial with Date and Small Seconds

Applied luminous markers alternate with the principal Arabic numerals, surrounding a blue surface with visible aging and light wear. The Darwil crown emblem and signature appear with 17 Jewel and Incabloc inscriptions.

A frame outlines the date window at 3 o’clock, while small seconds sit at 6. Silver-tone baton hour and minute hands have luminous inserts, accompanied by a fine hand in the subsidiary seconds register.

Rotating Bezel and Case Wear

The black rotating bezel carries numerals from 10 through 50. Together with the luminous dial details, it defines this diving watch’s exterior design. Wear remains visible on both the bezel and case.

The compact case has straight lugs and measures 35 mm lug to lug, with a 16 mm strap connection. Plating loss is visible around the lugs and case edges. A fluted crown at 3 o’clock projects clearly from the side, leaving room for a grip. Current water resistance has not been established.

Cal. 7012 and New Blue Leather

The Swiss Cal. 7012 is a 17-jewel manual-wind movement with Incabloc shock protection. It powers the central hour and minute display, date and subsidiary seconds.

The new blue leather strap has a crocodile-style texture and an adjustable fit. Its 16 mm width follows the compact lugs, and its color extends the blue dial beyond the case. The strap is a replacement accessory.

Present Condition and Warranty

The watch retains its original watch components and is fully serviced and fully operational. Dial aging, bezel wear and case plating loss remain disclosed as part of its used condition. It is supplied with a 12-month warranty and no box or papers. Worldwide shipping is available.
