Stylized black Arabic numerals and gold-tone dots give this 1976 Darwil Ref. 10042 a graphic white dial. Its square gold-plated case has brushed front surfaces, polished bevels and straight lug extensions, with small seconds at 6 o’clock. The compact 27 mm men’s watch uses Cal. UT 6565 and comes on a new black crocodile-textured leather strap.

Square White Dial with Small Seconds

Black Arabic numerals run around the perimeter, accompanied by small gold-tone dot hour markers. DARWIL is signed beneath 12, with 17 JEWELS above the small-seconds display and SWISS MADE at the lower edge. The white surface presents cleanly.

Gold-tone hour and minute hands have black central inserts, echoing both the warm case and the dark numerals. The subsidiary seconds hand at 6 o’clock has a matching gold tone. The separate seconds register keeps the square central display open.

Brushed Gold-Plated Case and Signed Crown

The case’s straight lines continue through the lugs, with polished bevels bordering the brushed front. It measures 27 mm across and 35 mm lug to lug, with an 18 mm strap connection. Light vintage wear remains on the gold plating.

The stainless-steel back carries the Darwil emblem, Fond Acier Inoxydable inscription and reference 10042. The original signed crown sits at 3 o’clock, with a fluted gold-tone profile for winding and setting.

UT 6565 and New Black Leather

The Swiss UT 6565 manual-wind movement powers hours and minutes with subsidiary seconds. The dial’s 17 JEWELS inscription remains a further identifying detail of this watch.

The new black leather strap has a crocodile-style texture, a light underside and an adjustable fit. Its 18 mm width follows the straight lugs and contrasts with the gold-plated case. It is a replacement strap, separate from the retained original watch components.
