Kienzle Alfa, Cal. 051 D 53, Manual Wind Watch, 1966

Blue inserts and gold-tone accents bring color to the warm white dial of this 1966 Kienzle Alfa. Broad luminous-filled hands sit above small seconds at 6, within a compact 31 mm case. The unisex German hand-wound watch uses caliber 051 D 53 and retains its original unsigned gold-tone crown.

Blue-centered markers and small seconds

KIENZLE alfa appears beneath 12, with ANTIMAGNETIC above the small seconds area. Applied rectangular markers combine blue central inserts with gold-tone details, framed by a black outer minute track. Patina and age character are visible around the outer edge and some markers; there is no date aperture.

The broad hour and minute hands have luminous central fill. A fine small seconds hand at 6 gives the display a separate running indication while leaving the center uncluttered.

Compact case, contrasting original crown

The polished silver-tone case has angular lugs and a simple round bezel. This German vintage watch measures 38 mm from lug to lug, with a 16 mm strap fit. The back is marked Stainless Steel Back, Antimagnetic and Waterprotected. These period inscriptions are retained without a present-day water-resistance guarantee.

The original unsigned crown at 3 o’clock has a warm gold-tone finish and fluted edge, echoing the marker accents. A new adjustable black leather strap has a woven-style textured surface and light underside. The strap is a replacement, separate from the original watch-head components.
