Omega Geneve, Ref. 511.357, Cal. 485, Women’s Dress Vintage Watch
A yellow-gold dial and green leather strap bring colour to this petite Omega Genève watch from 1971, reference 511.357. The rectangular gold-plated case measures 15.5 mm wide and 28 mm from lug to lug, with an original signed crown. Black baton hands show hours and minutes only, driven by the compact manual-wind caliber 485 beneath an acrylic crystal.
Warm dial with fine black graphics
The yellow-gold dial has a printed Omega logo and OMEGA name, with Genève above 6. Thin black baton indices mark all twelve hours, accompanied by narrow minute markings at the edge. The print is clear, and the surface has an even aged warmth without heavy damage.
The two black baton hands have carefully proportioned lengths and clean ends. There is no seconds hand, leaving the square-rectangular face quiet and symmetrical. Their dark colour matches the indices and provides a clear contrast against the warmer dial.
Rectangular plated head and green replacement strap
The case has straight sides, a thin straight bezel and short straight lugs. Its gold-plated finish remains intact, with normal patina and minor surface traces of wear. The original case lines are preserved.
At 15.5 mm wide and 28 mm overall, the head is notably compact, with a 13 mm strap attachment. The acrylic crystal follows the case architecture and shows light hairline scratches typical of the material. The original signed crown has fine knurling, giving a secure grip, and time setting has a pleasant, firm resistance.
The stitched green leather strap is a newer aftermarket replacement. Its colour sets off the dial's warm tone, while its provenance is kept separate from the original watch head.
Hours and minutes from caliber 485
The manual-wind watch uses Swiss Omega caliber 485, a compact mechanical design developed for women's watches. Its hours-and-minutes configuration matches the dial's simple display. The watch is fully serviced and fully operational, running smoothly within period-appropriate tolerances.
The early-1970s Genève line of Omega watches emphasised clean geometry, fine printing and a compact urban profile. This dress watch expresses those qualities through its straight plated case, spare black graphics and small two-hand layout.
The watch is used and carefully preserved, with its original head components, including the signed crown, retained. It comes with a 12-month warranty. Worldwide shipping is available with careful packaging, tracking and insurance.
