Omikron, Ref. 4020, Men’s Dress Vintage Watch, 1960s

Sale price€160,00

A crosshair, double marker at 12 and lollipop-counterweighted seconds hand distinguish Omikron reference 4020. This men's dress watch from the 1960s has a silver-white sunburst dial within a slim 33 mm gold-plated case. Its original signed gold-tone crown provides hand winding, while a later brown leather strap has crocodile-style grain and matching stitching.

Sunburst crosshair dial and gold furniture

The dial has a radial sunburst finish and a subtle crosshair that divides its clean layout. Applied gold baton indices include a double marker at 12, with a printed minute track around the edge. Omikron, 17 Rubis and Incabloc signatures identify the brand and shock-protected mechanical design.

Gold baton hour and minute hands have polished facets. The slim, gold-tone central seconds hand has a lollipop counterweight, adding a distinct detail to the otherwise restrained display.

Thin plated case and original signed crown

The 33 mm gold-plated case has straight, sharp lugs, a thin polished bezel and clean plating. Its slim profile suits wear beneath a shirt cuff. A domed acrylic crystal gives slight distortion at the dial's edges.

The original signed crown is gold tone, with a fine coin edge for winding grip. Smooth winding remains part of the serviced watch's operation.

The brown leather strap is a later replacement, with crocodile-style grain and matching stitching. Its texture and warm colour complement the plated case.

Seventeen-jewel hand-wound movement

The manual-wind watch has a Swiss-made 17-jewel movement with Incabloc shock protection. The exact ébauche is unconfirmed; Omikron used movements from both FHF and AS families.

Omikron's 1960s dress watches combined slim gold-plated cases with restrained dials. Reference 4020 expresses that approach through its crosshair, gold furniture and modest case proportions, with the seconds counterweight giving it an individual detail.

This used watch is in excellent vintage condition, with a well-preserved dial, sharp lugs and clean case plating. Its original watch head components and signed crown are retained, with the replacement strap fitted. It is fully serviced, tested and fully operational, and comes with a 12-month warranty. Worldwide shipping is available.
