Blue sunburst color brings depth to this 1976 Oriosa Ref. 2789W, framed by a broad cushion-shaped steel case and the original multi-link bracelet. The compact 36 mm diameter and 40 mm overall length contrast with its substantial case shoulders. Applied silver-tone markers surround a day-date display powered by the Swiss ETA 2789 automatic movement.

Blue Dial with Applied Batons

The radial finish shifts from slate blue to near-black with the light. Applied rectangular silver-tone markers have pale central inserts and sit inside a fine white minute track. ORIOSA SWISS appears beneath 12, with AUTOMATIC, 25 JEWELS and INCABLOC in the lower half. T SWISS MADE T remains visible at the outer edge.

Broad hour and minute hands carry matching pale inserts, and a slender central seconds hand completes the display. At 3 o’clock, the weekday and numerical date sit side by side in a raised silver-tone frame. Light aging is visible on the hands and markers, while the dial and calendar remain readable.

Cushion Case and Original Multi-Link Bracelet

The stainless-steel case combines a broad brushed top with polished facets and a smooth circular bezel. These finishes separate the round dial opening from the wider cushion-shaped body. Light marks and normal wear remain visible, although the brushing is clearly defined.

The case measures 36 mm across and 40 mm lug to lug, with an 18 mm bracelet connection. Its short overall length keeps the broader shape compact on the wrist. A modest ridged crown sits at 3 o’clock for time and calendar setting; no clearly legible crown signature is visible.

The original stainless-steel multi-link bracelet alternates broad and narrow articulated links. It continues the silver-tone case treatment and has normal signs of use. The bracelet is adjustable, but an exact fitted wrist circumference is not supplied.

The ETA 2789 is a 25-jewel automatic movement operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, with Incabloc shock protection. Automatic winding and the day-date calendar give this Swiss watch a practical mechanical layout beneath the dark dial.
