Solid sterling silver and a power-reserve indicator distinguish this Philippe Du Bois & Fils Chronographe Classique watch from 1989. Number 22 of a 39-piece edition, the men's automatic chronograph uses ETA 7750 in a polished 39 mm 925-silver case. Its cream-beige Arabic dial carries three chronograph registers, a date at 4 and a separate reserve gauge at 3.

The finely printed dial combines Arabic numerals with a tachymeter scale. Chronograph registers occupy 12, 9 and 6, while the power-reserve gauge at 3 balances their arrangement. The date aperture sits at 4, leaving the main register layout clearly visible.

Blackened leaf-shaped hour and minute hands carry luminous material. A thin central chronograph seconds hand and neatly proportioned register hands provide the timing indications. The different hand forms preserve the distinction between the main time and subsidiary displays.

Fluted 925-silver case

The case is solid sterling silver with 925 fineness. A fluted bezel, polished surfaces and polished lugs give the 39 mm head its classical appearance. The screw-down caseback is engraved with the brand signature, Chronographe Classique and the individual limited-edition number.

A polished crown at 3 sits between pump-style chronograph pushers at 2 and 4. Their action is crisp for starting, stopping and resetting timing. The light-brown textured leather strap has a simple tang buckle, giving the silver head a warmer contrasting attachment.

Automatic ETA 7750 with reserve indication

The automatic watch uses Swiss ETA 7750, a movement with a nominal beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz, and approximately 44 hours of power reserve. The reserve indicator provides a visible guide to the remaining stored energy, alongside the chronograph function. Chronograph engagement is smooth.
