Poljot Alarm, Cal. 2612.1, Men’s Manual Wind Vintage Watch

Two crowns and a dedicated alarm-setting hand distinguish this 1976 Poljot Alarm from a simple three-hand watch. Cal. 2612.1 adds an audible mechanical alarm to the hand-wound time display. Its compact 33 mm case combines broad angular surfaces with a textured silver dial, paired here with a new black crocodile-embossed leather strap.

Silver Textured Dial with Alarm Indication

The pale silver finish has vertical texture and light age-related spotting. Applied rectangular hour markers surround fine minute divisions and a darker inner scale. Warm-tone accents on the hands and markers contrast with the silver background. POLJOT sits near 12, with 18 JEWELS above 6 and MADE IN USSR at the lower edge.

Conventional hour and minute hands are accompanied by a central seconds hand and a visually distinct alarm-setting hand. The alarm indicator works with the inner printed scale, keeping its setting separate from the ordinary time display.

Faceted Case and Twin Crowns

The broad rectangular case has clipped corners, a brushed top and polished side areas. A shaped dial and crystal opening, with a dark outer border, create a layered geometric profile. The watch measures 33 mm across and 39 mm lug to lug, with 18 mm between the lugs.

Light scratches and age-related marks remain on the silver-tone exterior. Its exact material is not confirmed. Two ridged crowns sit on the right, separating time-setting functions from alarm control. Both have pronounced grip surfaces; no clearly legible signatures are visible.

Poljot Cal. 2612.1 Mechanical Alarm

Cal. 2612.1 is a manual-wind movement with an integrated mechanical alarm. The 18-jewel specification is stated on the dial. The alarm adds an audible function operated through dedicated controls, while regular hand winding supplies the movement’s energy.

The MADE IN USSR inscription identifies this example’s Soviet manufacture. Its twin crowns and additional setting hand show how the alarm complication shapes the exterior as well as the display.

New Leather Strap and Present Condition

The new black leather strap has a crocodile-embossed texture, dark stitching and an adjustable fit. Its 18 mm width follows the lugs and keeps the graphic case and dial prominent. It is a replacement accessory, separate from the original watch components.

The watch is fully serviced and fully operational, with its original watch components retained. Dial spotting and exterior wear remain part of its current cosmetic condition. It is supplied with a 12-month warranty and no box or papers.
