Dark inlays in the rectangular indices and baton hands give the warm yellow dial of the Roamer Searock watch from 1979, reference 802.2210.322, a defined contrast. The champagne tone sits within a 37 mm gold-plated tonneau case, with brushed top surfaces and polished chamfers and sides. A later brown leather strap accompanies Roamer's hand-wound MST 802 movement.

Warm dial with dark inlays

The applied rectangular hour indices contain dark inserts, echoed by the baton hour and minute hands. A slim printed minute track outlines the dial, with the Roamer logo at 12. The framed date aperture is at 3.

A central sweep seconds hand completes the time display. The light yellow and champagne character of the face provides contrast for the darker hand and marker details, while keeping the date window separate from the main time indications.

Gold-plated tonneau case

The case measures 42 mm lug to lug and has an 18 mm lug width. Brushed upper surfaces meet polished chamfers and sides, making the tonneau geometry visible as the light changes. The gold-plated finish extends across the tonneau-shaped head.

The small, unsigned gold-tone crown is positioned at 3. It provides manual winding and time setting without adding a prominent control to the case outline. The brown leather strap is an aftermarket replacement, continuing the warm tones of the dress watch while remaining separate from its original components.

In-house MST 802

The manual-wind watch uses MST 802, an in-house Roamer movement from Meyer & Stüdeli. It has 17 jewels and shock protection, with a date display alongside the central time indications.

Produced in the late 1970s, the MST 802 kept Roamer's own mechanical approach within a period of growing quartz competition. The Searock paired that traditional movement with the bolder tonneau shapes and carefully defined dial furniture of the brand's contemporary designs.
