Seiko 5 6119-7540

Sale price€260,00

Orange index accents stand out against the smoked bronze-to-anthracite dial of this Seiko 5 watch from 1975, reference 6119-7540. Its 37 mm brushed cushion case retains the original steel bracelet, sized for wrists up to 21 cm. Automatic caliber 6119 powers the day-date, and the acrylic crystal shows light wear.

Smoked sunburst dial and orange accents

The sunburst dial changes from warm bronze at the center to deep anthracite at the edge. Faceted applied metal indices have orange inlays, surrounded by a black chapter ring and minute scale. Applied SEIKO lettering and the 5 shield sit at 12, with Automatic 21 Jewels printing above 6.

A framed day-date occupies 3 o’clock. Faceted baton hour and minute hands have luminous filling, accompanied by a slim central seconds hand. Their geometry follows the markers, keeping the colored accents and calendar easy to distinguish.

Vertical brushing and original steel bracelet

The cushion/tonneau case has strong vertical brushing on its upper surfaces and a bright polished bezel lip. Short hooded lugs lead into the original bracelet. It measures 37 mm across and 41 mm from lug to lug, giving the broad case a compact wrist length.

The acrylic crystal has light wear consistent with age; light surface marks can be polished. A recessed crown at 4 o’clock sits in a protective recess. The original Seiko stainless steel bracelet uses brushed, lightly beveled three-piece links and fits wrists up to 21 cm.

21-jewel 6119 and disclosed condition

Caliber 6119 has 21 jewels and runs at a family specification of 21,600 vph, or 3 Hz. Magic Lever automatic winding powers the central seconds and quick day-date display. This caliber family does not support hand winding or hacking.

The smoked dial, orange details and compact cushion case reflect the Seiko 5 line’s move toward bolder forms during the 1970s. The polished bezel and original bracelet keep the design coherent, balancing everyday calendar use with the proportions of dress watches.

The watch is in attractive used condition, with a clean dial, crisp case brushing and the noted light crystal wear. All components are assessed as original, including the bracelet. It is fully serviced and fully operational, with stable amplitude after service. A 12-month warranty is included, with secure, trackable worldwide shipping available.
