Seiko 5 7009-6000 Men’s Dress Automatic Vintage Watch 1982

Sale price€210,00

Rectangular gold-tone markers at 12, 6 and 9 punctuate the vertically brushed silver dial of the Seiko 5 watch from 1982, reference 7009-6000. A bilingual day-date display accompanies golden dauphine hands within a rounded rectangular steel case. The 37 mm head retains its original Jubilee-style bracelet, with automatic caliber 7009 and a recessed crown at 4.

Vertical brushing and mixed marker shapes

The dial’s vertical brushed finish gives its silver surface a directional texture. Applied gold-tone rectangular indices mark 12, 6 and 9, with round hour markers at the remaining positions. Their different shapes are a defining detail of this example.

The bilingual day-date display at 3 includes a Spanish day indication. Gold-tone dauphine hour and minute hands continue the dial furniture’s warm metal treatment, with a slim central seconds hand completing the display.

Rounded rectangular head and original Jubilee-style steel

The stainless steel case measures 37 mm across and 41 mm from lug to lug. Its rounded rectangular form combines brushed lugs with a polished fixed bezel, giving the head contrasting surfaces within a compact overall span.

The recessed crown at 4 provides time and calendar adjustment while following the case’s clean lines. The original stainless steel Jubilee-style bracelet has polished centre links and brushed outer links. Its retained finish pattern gives the dress watch a continuous original steel attachment around the wrist.

Caliber 7009 and early-1980s design

This automatic watch uses Seiko caliber 7009, a 21-jewel movement operating at a model beat rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It powers the watch’s time display and day-date complication.

The Seiko 5 line began in the 1960s with accessible mechanical watches. This early-1980s example expresses its continued practical approach through a brushed dial, mixed marker shapes and distinctive rounded rectangular geometry, with the original linked steel bracelet retained.

The watch is in excellent used condition, fully serviced and fully operational. Its original dial, hands, case and bracelet are preserved. A 12-month warranty is included, and worldwide shipping is available.
