Gold-tone markers and dauphine hands give the silver dial of this Seiko 7005-8210 watch from 1975 its warm-metal accents. Black detailing on the applied markers and a black central seconds hand add contrast. Automatic caliber 7005 sits inside a 37 mm steel case with a marked screw-down back, now fitted with a modern replacement black leather strap.

Silver radial finish and gold-tone dauphines

The silver dial has a radial brushed sunburst finish that catches light across its surface. Applied gold-tone hour markers contain central black accents, accompanied by a clean minute track. The day-date aperture at 3 has a fine metal border.

Gold-tone dauphine hour and minute hands continue the marker colour. The slender black central seconds hand supplies a separate contrast against the pale dial, keeping the handset distinct without covering the radial texture.

Polished bezel, marked back and replacement leather

The stainless steel case measures 37 mm across and 41 mm from lug to lug. A polished bezel and straight lugs give this dress watch’s head its restrained outline. The screw-down stainless steel back retains original Seiko markings, adding a documented detail beyond the front view.

The original unsigned crown is recessed at 3, blending into the case profile. It provides time and date setting without disrupting the clean side outline.

The modern replacement black leather strap accompanies the watch’s formal styling. It is not the original Seiko bracelet. The confirmed original dial, hands, case, crown and movement remain separate from this present attachment.

Japan-made 7005 and automatic-only winding

This automatic watch’s Japan-made Seiko caliber 7005 has model specifications of 17 jewels and 21,600 vibrations per hour. It has quick-set date adjustment and relies on its bidirectional rotor for winding. There is no manual-winding capability, a practical point when bringing a stopped watch back into use.

The clean radial dial, straight lugs and restrained metal accents retain this example’s mid-1970s dress character. The gold and black furniture distinguish the pale display without adding extensive dial decoration.
