Matte silver, black markers and grey seconds

The dial has no sunburst effect. Slim black hour markers surround its matte silver surface, with clean SEIKO and QUARTZ printing at 12. A polished chapter ring frames the display and provides a reflective edge against the quieter dial finish.

The neatly bevelled, framed date window sits at 3. Black stick hour and minute hands give a clear contrast to the pale dial, while the subtle grey central seconds hand completes the three-hand arrangement. The crisp dial and clean, functional calendar retain the reference’s restrained presentation.

Thin steel profile and replacement brown leather

The stainless steel case measures 33 mm across and 38 mm from lug to lug. Its satin-brushed upper surface contrasts with a polished, slightly bevelled bezel. Sharp case lines and the low profile give the small watch a defined presence without substantial height under a shirt cuff.

A small polished crown at 3 appears original to the watch head. It provides time adjustment and quick date setting while keeping the side profile discreet.

The brown leather strap is an aftermarket replacement, with contrast stitching near the lugs. Its warm tone accompanies the silver dial and steel case. The strap’s replacement status remains separate from the original watch-head components.

In-house 7812 and serviced condition

This quartz watch’s in-house Seiko caliber 7812 uses a nominal 32,768 Hz oscillator. Its thin architecture contributes directly to the watch’s low stance and sleeve clearance. This late-1970s watch reflects the development of compact quartz wristwatches with restrained displays.
