Brushed PVD cushion case and modern NATO-style strap

The stainless steel case has a black PVD coating, measuring 39 mm across and 43 mm from lug to lug, with a 19 mm fitting. Brushed surfaces show light wear appropriate to the watch’s age. The PVD finish gives the rounded cushion shape its dark exterior and scratch-resistant surface treatment.

A small fluted crown at 4 follows the streamlined case profile. It provides adjustment access without projecting prominently from the head.

Automatic 7009 and its winding limitations

This automatic watch uses Seiko caliber 7009 for mechanical timekeeping and day-date. Its model specifications are 21 jewels and 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. The caliber does not hack and cannot be wound manually: the seconds hand does not stop for setting, and winding is supplied by automatic action.

The dark cushion steel, legible Arabic display and nylon attachment retain this late-1970s watch’s tool-watch character. The Military name accompanies that styling.
