Slim black baton hour and minute hands contrast with the pale dial. The central chronograph seconds hand reaches the tachymeter scale, while the subsidiary hands retain a uniform style. The restrained handset leaves the numerals and moonphase display clearly defined.

39 mm steel case and original gold-tone controls

The chronograph’s stainless steel case measures 39 mm in diameter and 41.5 mm from lug to lug. Brushed and polished finishes give the metal exterior contrasting surfaces, with its relatively short span containing the broad dial.

Gold-tone pushers at 2 and 4 provide responsive chronograph operation. The original gold-tone crown sits at 8 for moonphase and calendar adjustment. The opposed control positions are a distinctive part of the case layout.

Horizontally brushed integrated bracelet

The original integrated stainless steel bracelet has horizontally brushed links and polished edges. Its connection to the case preserves the continuous metal outline, carrying the contrasting finishes from the watch head into the attachment.

Quartz 7A48, moonphase and confirmed testing

This quartz watch uses Seiko caliber 7A48, an analog chronograph movement with a moonphase complication. Introduced in the early 1980s, the caliber has a 15-jewel construction and separate pushers for the chronograph functions. The moonphase indication accompanies the timekeeping and timing displays within the same analog dial.
