Zenith JFK Automatic 2532 PC

This 1964 Zenith “JFK” square automatic has an opaline silver-white dial, fine gold batons and an angled date at about 4:30. Caliber 2532 PC sits in a slim gold-plated case measuring 29 mm across. The unrefinished watch is fitted with a new high-quality brown leather strap and gold-tone pin buckle.

Slender applied gold markers surround the silver-white surface, with a double baton at 12. There is no printed minute track or luminous material. Zenith lettering and a small star occupy the upper dial, with automatic in an elegant script.

The framed date sits diagonally between 4 and 5 o’clock. Long thin gold baton hour and minute hands repeat the markers’ restrained geometry, with a fine gold central seconds hand. The original dial retains crisp printing and intact markers, and has never been refinished.

Square plating and fresh brown leather

A flat crystal and straight lugs follow the case’s square outline. Gold-plated planes retain crisp edges and consistent tone, with light wear. The case measures 29 mm across and 37 mm from lug to lug, with an 18 mm fitting. Its underlying body metal is unspecified.

The small gold-tone crown at 3 has fine coin-edge knurling and a low profile. A new high-quality brown leather strap has an alligator-style grain, paired with a gold-tone pin buckle. It is a replacement fitted beside the original watch head.

The early square “JFK” configuration

The JFK/John F. Kennedy name here identifies the earlier square 2532 PC configuration from a family produced approximately between 1961 and 1964. It precedes the later Respirator family, introduced around 1968. This example belongs to watches made in 1964, with the early square case and diagonal date that distinguish this configuration.

Approximately 72,000 caliber 2532 PC movements were produced across multiple configurations; that figure is not the production total for this slim square case. The square model represents a smaller subset within vintage Zenith watches.
