Zaria, Cal. Z2009B, Women’s Manual Wind Vintage Watch, 1983

A white graphic dial with oversized quarter-hour numerals defines this 1983 Zaria (Zarya) women’s watch. The black sector lines and Cyrillic inscriptions give the compact 28 mm design a distinctly Soviet identity. Its Cal. Z2009B hand-wound movement is fully serviced and operational. The watch retains its original components and is fitted with a new dark green leather strap.

White Dial with Curved Sector Lines

The lightly textured white surface carries large black Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9. Sweeping curved lines divide the cardinal-hour areas into separate visual sectors, while the absence of a conventional minute track leaves generous open space around the display.

The Cyrillic ЗАРЯ signature sits beneath 12, with 21 КАМЕНЬ above 6 and СДЕЛАНО В СССР at the lower edge. The inscriptions identify the 21-jewel specification and USSR manufacture. Slim dark baton hour and minute hands contrast with the white background, accompanied by a fine central seconds hand extending toward the outer edge. Light age-related character is visible on the hand surfaces, while the dial remains clean and readable.

Silver-Tone Case with Compact Proportions

The case measures 28 mm across and 35 mm lug to lug, with a 14 mm strap connection. Its round dial opening, narrow polished bezel and straight projecting lugs keep the broad white dial visually prominent. Light scratches and age-related marks remain on the case and bezel. The exterior is silver-tone; its exact material is not confirmed.

A generously sized ridged crown at 3 o’clock provides a grip for regular manual winding and time setting. No clearly legible crown signature is visible.

Hand-Wound Z2009B and New Green Strap

Cal. Z2009B is a Soviet manual-wind mechanical movement with 21 jewels. The time-only layout uses central seconds without a calendar or subsidiary display, matching the deliberately open dial design. The watch is fully serviced and fully operational.

A new dark green leather strap with matching green stitching adds color against the white dial and silver-tone case. It has an adjustable fit and is a modern replacement, separate from the original watch components.
