Rigi 2300-EC, Cal. AS 1950/51, Men’s Manual Wind

Geometric applied markers and a silver sunburst dial define this 1974 Rigi 2300-EC. Its stainless-steel cushion case surrounds a similarly shaped dial opening, giving the 36 mm watch an angular profile. Cal. AS 1950/51 provides hand-wound timekeeping, and a new brown crocodile-embossed leather strap adds warmth to the silver-and-steel palette.

Silver Sunburst Dial with Geometric Markers

The subtle radial finish carries applied square and rectangular hour markers with dark inner detailing. Small circular accents and a fine minute track complete the perimeter. RIGI appears beneath 12 with 17 JEWELS below it; 2300-EC and INCABLOC occupy the lower half, with SWISS MADE at the dial edge.

Narrow faceted hour and minute hands follow the angular marker design. A slim central seconds hand reaches toward the outer minute track. Light age-related spotting is visible on close inspection of the silver dial, which remains clearly legible.

Steel Cushion Case and Projecting Lugs

The stainless-steel case measures 36 mm across and 44 mm lug to lug, with a 19 mm strap connection. A broad brushed upper surface contrasts with polished side areas. Straight projecting lugs reinforce the square-cushion profile and create a defined transition into the strap.

Light surface marks remain visible on the steel, while the case shape is clearly preserved. A compact ridged crown sits at 3 o’clock for winding and setting. No clearly legible crown signature is visible.

New Brown Leather Strap

The new brown leather strap has a crocodile-embossed texture, tonal stitching and an adjustable fit. Its 19 mm width balances the broad case, while the warm leather contrasts with the cool dial and steel exterior. It is a replacement strap, separate from the original watch components.

AS 1950/51 Manual-Wind Movement

The Swiss AS 1950/51 powers the central time display. The dial states 17 JEWELS and INCABLOC, preserving both the jewel specification and shock-protection marking. Manual winding supplies the movement’s energy through the crown.

This Rigi retains its original watch components and is fully serviced and fully operational. It is supplied with a 12-month warranty and no box or papers.
